Catherine and John Nicholas have been living on Lake Arenal since March 1991. They left corporate life in NYC and opened the first Bed & Breakfast on Lake Arenal. A few years later, due to requests from their guests who were interested in buying property, Lake Arenal Properties was opened.
Because of their careful property checking and only selecting properties they themselves would feel confident to buy, they gained many happy customers over the years. Many of these clients have become neighbors and friends. They have never had a complaint and now are referred by friends living here as the most honest in the area.
Catherine, and her real estate partner Lucas Mongrillo (who was born in the area and has lived here all of his 50+ years) can give you lots of necessary information about the area; legal and local. Lucas was the elected Nuevo Arenal Business Association President for the maximum two terms until recently so has unsurpassed knowledge and contacts gained from this experience. He is now the elected town Fiscal which says something about our community’s trust for him and gives our clients confidence.
