The very beautiful, lush property was maintained with the original natural greenery. It was bought years ago with the idea of retirement in mind and sadly this was changed. Serious time was spent finding this land but the price is the same as when purchased which is quiet a find close to town. There is mostly everything you need daily here It is only a 5-10 minute drive to the #1 town on Lake Arenal, Nuevo Arenal with its charming small town atmosphere and healthy, friendly people.
The much appreciated climate here is an average 70F tear round meaning that you do not need a/c or heat. The nearby town of Nuevo Arenal is a little mountain village of 3000 people with a friendly, compatible atmosphere for all who live here. There are friendly relations here between both Costa Ricans “Ticos” and Foreigners “Gringos”. There are many available activities to have a healthy lifestyle with easily made new friends in this very beautiful, lush, green year round Lake Arenal community.
The restaurants are very good and lots of preferred grocery shopping is available including an organic store with fresh farm veggies, and other health products. Fish trucks come up from the Pacific Ocean selling fresh fish from that day’s catch so we have good choices. Most animals are grass fed so people are healthier here especially since they don’t eat processed food as much as we do in the States.
Arenal is only a 50 minute drive to the busy tourist town of LaFortuna with its many activities including the famous Hot Springs coming from Volcano Arenal.. your guests will appreciate this. It is the second most popular tourism choice for the Arenal Volcano National Park. Some great news is that this lovely home is only a short 1 1/2 hour drive to the capital city of our Guanacaste Province, Liberia ,which now competes with San Jose for necessary purchases. The Liberia International Airport is conveniently in Liberia so no need for a 4 hour drive to San Jose with its irritating traffic. It is also only 1/2 hour from the beautiful Pacific Coast where you can choose between many Northern Nicoya Pacific Beaches for a day or weekend of sunshine ….and then still return to the cooler climate with its continuous breezes for comfort.
