There is a large gate in the front of the 1 1/2 acre property where you see 12 dog kennels for use by the owners to start an income producing business caring for dogs while the owners go to the beach or travel outside the country. The area is fenced so the pets can move around freely during the day. There is another small cabin near the house if needed. Since there are many family dogs in our area, we are known as an area that has no strays. We have three different dog spay and neuter clinic groups that consistently care for stray animals and have them adopted. Having a care facility for their dogs would be a relief to the pet owners.

The nearby town of Tierras Morenas is a little mountain village of 2000 population of mostly vegetable,dairy and cattle farmers. They are friendly, hard working people who value family/community life over material things. The good news is that we are only about an hour to the capital city of our Guanacaste Province, Liberia, with an International Airport. From here it is only another 20 minutes to a Pacific Beach so easy to go for a day or weekend. Liberia competes with the tension filled San Jose with its overwhelming traffic as well as saving us a 4 hour one way trip. We are very fortunate in our area as we have all the important things we need here. Our community of exPats does a lot of volunteer work with the local “Ticos” and relations are very friendly. There are many events like Pickleball, Bridge Clubs, Book Club, Birding Groups, fishing, kayaking, swimming, wonderful restaurant get togethers celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and other events. You could start any entertainment you like. Our Nuevo Arenal community is absolutely #1 on Lake Arenal. It is beautiful, surrounded by trees and the lake with clean fresh air and good water, plus loads of tropical birds, plants and orchids. It is a casual lifestyle and very comfortable. Not much else you could ask for in life. This is called “Pura Vida”.
