This charming home is solidly built with beautiful woods and a spacious open concept living room, dinning room and kitchen. The kitchen is behind a new kitchen island which can also be used to eat from. The floors are all ceramic tiled for ease of cleaning. The kitchen has teak cabinets and granite counters. This house is located 15 minutes from Nuevo Arenal for shopping, restaurants and most necessities. Arenal is a wonderful 4000 population community of very friendly residents of about 20% expats and friendly Ticos. There are many excellent restaurants and stores. The altitude is 1800 feet in a low range forested, green, mountain area that stays green and fresh year round. We have many voluntary cooperative efforts and many enjoyable activities so one need never get bored. It is truly Pura Vida since it is easy to make friends and have a stress free life with pure fresh air, clean abundant water, and with soil and climate-perfect for growing food. The temperature is a mild 70F. average year round unlike the dry, hot Pacific zone. No need for a/c or heat which saves lots of money and is healthier.
Arenal is only a short 1 1/2 hour drive to the Capital city of our Guanacaste Province, Liberia, where there is an International Airport, major shopping and then another 20 minutes to the Pacific Ocean beaches making it easy to go overnight or a weekend to the beach of your choice. Some share a beach house rental and each can have partial months to save money for enjoying mini vacations or take visiting friends and family to a totally different atmosphere. Arenal is also only 45 minutes from the #2 tourism town of La Fortuna, and 2 hours from the popular Monteverde Park. Relatives and friends love their visits.
This house has the option of being bought sparsely furnished. Recent improvements are a new kitchen island, a skylight, the house is connected to 8 solar panels with wall battery, and the garage is connected to grid. Gas water heater, Solar water heater, over 70 young fruit trees, Greenhouse, path in the jungle part, new clay tile roof, outdoor and indoor has been repainted, a beautiful mural. The birding is amazing with over 100 varieties of tropical birds in our area. Our friends here all feel very lucky to live here as overall to us it is the most beautiful and healthiest part of Costa Rica.
