It takes only 1 12 hours to drive to the bustling capital city of our Guanacaste Province, Liberia, where there is an international airport and many of the large chain stores for shopping,,,,,then by driving only another 20 minutes you will be at the beautiful Pacific Ocean beaches which makes it easy to go to the beach for the day or weekend. There are very friendly relations between both Costa Ricans (Ticos)and Foreigners (Gringos) so it is easy to make new friends with other retirees, mostly from the US and Canada.
