In Arenal you can find most groceries and organic products, a pharmacy, plus good restaurants, etc. In another 1/2 hour you will be in TilarĂ¡n (pop. 16000) with most of the required services you would need. It’s rare that you need to drive the 1.5 – 2 hours to Liberia where there are some of the same medical services/doctors and businesses that are in San Jose saving that long 4 hour(+ traffic time) trip. The 2nd International Airport is in Liberia and then it’s only another 20 minutes to the Pacific Ocean and its beautiful beaches. It’s easy to go to the beach for the day, weekend or longer so best to live in our cooler climate where there is no need for heat or a/c.

We value our abundant clear water, clean air filtered through our forests and land so fertile that tropical flowers, orchids, organic veggies and fruit trees grow year round. Lake Arenal is green year round with a o consistent climate of 65F.-85F.
