This three bedroom, two bathroom house is located on the “Monkey Trail” street which is quieter than most places in Arenal due to being an end street where you can see the protected forest trees across the street. You often can see and hear monkeys and tropical birds here.

The climate in Arenal is an average of 70F. Year round, mostly between 65 and 85F. It is on the Caribbean side of the Continental Divide where the 25 mile long popular Lake Arenal is located. This area is green year round from refreshing rainfall and tropical breezes unlike the hot, dry Pacific area where you need a/c. Here we only need fans and no heat. There is abundant clean water and the air is purified by the surrounding trees.
Life is very informal in this small town of 4000 mixed Costa Rican and expat residents. There are lots of activities in the area, so you can meet friends easily.
From Arenal to Liberia, the capital of Guanacaste Province, the road is newly paved all the way and takes only 1 1/2 hour to Liberia with many of the major shopping and medical specialists there with subsidiary offices from San Jose. There is also an International Airport in Liberia and you are only another 20 minutes drive to the Pacific Ocean with it’s many beautiful beaches.
Arenal is the choice town of many expats and the friendly atmosphere shows how a Pura Vida life is possible here.
