Casa de Palmas is a professionally renovated, 2 bedroom, 2 bath home partially furnished and ready to move into. As you are relaxing or eating, you can see the lake through the large glass windows in the living/dining room. Or you can view Lake Arenal with its beautiful sunsets while sipping your favorite drink with friends during Happy Hour and together enjoy the beautiful surroundings. In addition, there are two rooms that could be used as bedrooms, office space, or a hobby room. The owner will leave the furnishings in the bedrooms and kitchen for the buyer. All other furnishings are negotiable. All furnishings and appliances are first class. It has just been painted and is spotless. You are only 15 minutes from the Nuevo Arenal town center with necessary services, stores and restaurants. It takes only 1 ½ hours to drive to the bustling capital city of our Guanacaste Province, Liberia, where there is an international airport and many of the large chain stores for shopping…… then by driving another 20 minutes you will be at the beautiful Pacific Ocean beaches which makes it easy to go to the beach for the day or weekend. Exploring Costa Rica is a pleasure as the lush green environment is spectacular wherever you go.
There ave very friendly relations between both Costa Ricans (Ticos) and Foreigners (Gringos) so it is easy to make new friends with other retirees, mostly from the US and Canada. There are many available activities to support a healthy lifestyle. The restaurants serve a variety of delicious food including vegetarian and vegan, and there is preferred grocery shopping nearby plus an organic store with fresh farm goods and other health products required to have vegetarian or vegan organic lifestyles. Most animals are grass fed so people are healthier here especially since they don’t eat as much processed food as in the States.
The much appreciated climate here is an average 70F. year round meaning that you do not need a/c or heat. Arenal is a friendly little mountain/lake village of 4000 residents and has a lovely, comfortable climate. The property is well landscaped and stays green year round, unlike the hot Pacific lowlands.
The location is high on a hillside above the main lake road, Route 142, which circles around the lake toward the lower Pacific zone. The flora and fauna are exceptional Arenal is surrounded by Government Protected Tree Areas. Costa Rica is known for its environmental awards as it has a 99% renewable energy record and soon will be 100%. With its clean and abundant water plus the fresh air through the forests and the fact that there is no industry to pollute the air, it is one of the best places in the world to live healthily.
