There are two bedrooms and bathrooms, a granite counter and a new precious wood storage cabinet just built in the kitchen. Included are special curtains and outdoor awnings along with comfortable furnishings so it is move in ready. There is a 10 x 13 foot covered storage bodega beside the house for your convenience. In addition, there is a privacy wall in front and a large parking area for friends. Fiber optics internet is available.
The climate here is a pleasant average 70F.and green year-round meaning that you do not need a/c or heat unless you prefer it. But there is a stone fireplace if you wish to use it. You are on the town water supply with fresh artesian well sourced healthy water. For gardeners this means many vegetables, fruits and tropical flowers grow year-round also. This home is located in the town of Arenal (was called Nuevo Arenal in the past) which is a happy little mountain village of 4000 people with a friendly, compatible atmosphere for all who live here. There are good relations here between both Costa Rican “Ticos” and Foreigners “Gringos” who have retired or moved here. There are many available activities to have a healthy lifestyle with easily made new friends in this very beautiful, lush green year-round community. The restaurants are very good and there is preferred grocery shopping available including an organic store with fresh farm veggies and other health products. Fish trucks come up from the Pacific Ocean selling fresh fish from that day’s catch so we have good choices. Most animals are grass fed so people are healthier here especially since they don’t eat processed food as much as in the States. There are also vegetarian and vegan options at some of the restaurants since healthier lifestyles are popular here.
From Arenal it is only a short 1 ½ hour drive to the capital city of our Guanacaste Province, Liberia, which now competes with San Jose for necessary purchases and services. The Liberia International Airport is conveniently located here so no need for a 4-hour drive to San Jose with its irritating traffic. Liberia is also only ½ hour from the beautiful Pacific Coast where you can choose from many Nicoya Peninsula Beaches for a day or weekend of sunshine and still return to the cooler climate with its continuous breezes for comfort. Lake Arenal is a wonderful place to live in a beautiful, healthy environment.
