You can usually find whatever you might not be able to get in Arenal…larger stores and most services plus a 24 hour Government Medical Clinic. There is very good grocery shopping available both in Arenal and Tilaran. Fish trucks come up from the Pacific Ocean selling fresh fish from that day’s catch so we have good choices. Vegetable stores supply all your needs. Most animals are grass fed if you buy local products so people are healthier here especially since they don’t eat processed food as much as we do in the States. There are friendly relations here between both Costa Ricans “Ticos” and Foreigners “Gringos”. There are many available activities to have a healthy lifestyle with easily made new friends in this very beautiful, lush, green year round Lake Arenal community.

Arenal is only a one hour drive to the busy tourist town of La Fortuna with its many activities including the famous Zip Lines, the soothing Hot Springs coming from Volcano Arenal and many other tourism tours…your guests will appreciate this. It is the second most popular tourism choice for its Arenal Volcano National Park. Some great news is that this lovely home is only a short 1 1/2 hour drive to the capital city of our Guanacaste Province, Liberia, which now competes with San Jose for necessary purchases and services. The Liberia International Airport is conveniently located here so no need for a 4 hour drive to San Jose with its irritating traffic.
