The little town of Nuevo Arenal has a population of 3000 with perhaps 15% foreign residents all living happily together with friendly relations. There is almost everything you need to buy here or in the larger 15,000 population town of Tilaran 30 minutes west. The capital of our Guanacaste Province, Liberia, is only 1 1/2 hours drive. There is a second International Airport in Liberia….and only another 20 minutes to a Pacific Beach.
Liberia has almost all the same services and shopping as San Jose but without the long drive and traffic. It is a bustling city in the Pacific Northwest which is growing fast due to all the beach residents and the airport.
